EIFL has renewed its agreement with SAGE Publishing for access as well as open access publishing terms for the IMechE Journals until 2024. The IMechE collection of 18 journals includes the 16-part Proceedings of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), as well as The Journal of Strain Analysis for Engineering Design and the International Journal of Engine Research.

Institutions in seven EIFL partner countries are eligible to subscribe to the collection for free:

Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Senegal, Sudan, Uzbekistan

Institutions in 13 countries are eligible for discounted read access; in addition their authors can published their articles in open access in one of the IMechE journals at a discounted APC rate of 200 GBP:  

Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Maldives, Moldova, Palestine, Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine

Furthermore, corresponding authors from 23 countries are eligible to publish in open access in all IMechE journals at no cost:

Albania, Armenia, Botswana, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Fiji, Georgia, Ghana, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lesotho, Malawi, Myanmar, Nepal, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Zambia, Zimbabwe
