Recording (70 min) of a discussion session hosted by EIFL with the Research Data Management Advocacy Group, a team of early career researchers advocating for advancement of open science in Nigeria. Members of the team giving presentations, sharing success stories and leading the discussion were Basiru Adetomiwa (Redeemers University, Ede), Fatimah Abduldayan and Sadiat Adetoro Salau (Federal University of Technology, Minna) and Ify Obim (University of Nigeria, Nsukka).

Advocates on Research Data Management (RDM) are part of the LIBSENSE Early Career Researcher (ECR) Programme, a collaborative effort supported by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and the AfricaConnect3 project. Focusing on best practices in RDM and research ethics, the programme fosters the formation of ECR Advocacy Groups. These groups, composed of librarians, research administrators, and academics, collaborate to advance institutional and national RDM policies and practices.
