Iryna Kuchma, EIFL Open Access Programme Manager, will participate in this two-day Open Science for Ukrainian Higher Education System (Open4UA) training workshop, which is hosted by Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). The topic of the workshop is ‘How to get started with the implementation of Open Science nationally’. EIFL is a partner in the Open4UA project.
The workshop (11, 12 March) is structured around Brian Nosek's five pillars for culture change in Open Science: Infrastructure, User interface/experience, Communities, Incentives, and Policy. The programme includes talks on research data management infrastructure, digital competence centres, open science communities, and policies enabling open science in the Netherlands.
Interactive sessions include group discussions, co-creative methodologies for knowledge transfer, and planning for open science implementation in Ukraine. The workshop focus is on practical steps for adopting open science practices, with discussions guided by specific questions related to the applicability and challenges in different contexts.
On 13 March, the second part of the Open4UA kick-off meeting will take place with discussion on recent developments in research assessment reform in Ukraine and Open4UA project implementation.
