EIFL and EIFL’s partner library consortium, Kenya Libraries and Information Services Consortium (KLISC), will host a workshop to enhance open access (OA) publishing skills of journal publishers and editors, researchers and librarians in Kenya.
EIFL OpenAccessProgramme Manager Iryna Kuchma will give a presentation on sustainable OA publishing models, infrastructure and services for OA journals. Kuchma will also speak about creating enabling policies for OA publishing, and about training and advocacy.
The workshop is a part of a two-year project ‘OA policy development in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda to make more digital content available’. The project is funded by Spider, the Swedish Programme for ICT in Developing Regions, located at DSV, Department of Computer and System Sciences, which is part of Stockholm University.
