The EIFL Licensing Programme invites librarians to join a webinar with guest speaker Monique Dikboom from Maastricht University Library who will be talking about evaluating licence renewals. 

Every year, libraries are facing a dilemma when it comes to renewing existing subscriptions to e-resources: the collection has to remain up to date while budgets are getting tighter and prices keep rising. What role can libraries play to find the balance?

During her presentation, Monique Dikboom will give some basics tips to employ when evaluating subscriptions to e-resources need to be renewed, and talk about her experience at Maastricht University, where she helped to develop a tool to evaluate package subscriptions (‘big deals’).
