Ruth Bird, EIFL eLibrary Myanmar project Capacity Building Manager, will train librarians from universities in Yangon on legal research and how to make the best use of the legal e-resources provided through the EIFL eLibrary Myanmar project.
The week-long training aims to improve the capacity of librarians at Dagon University and East Yangon University to support law faculty in their newly-developed courses on international human rights law. Training is also open to librarians from the University of Yangon, Universities’ Central Library and West Yangon University, which are also partners in the EIFL eLibrary Myanmar project.
The training is jointly organized with the Danish Institute for Human Rights, which is currently engaged in three important areas of development in Myanmar: human rights and business, access to justice, and human rights education.
