The OpenAIRE Community of Practice for Training Coordinators invites you to join this 90-minute webinar and collaborative writing sprint on organizing GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliant online events.
Iryna Kuchma, Manager of the EIFL Open Access Programme and Coordinator of the OpenAIRE Community of Practice for Training Coordinators, will facilitate the webinar. Prodromos Tsiavos (Legal Adviser to the ‘Athena’ Research & Innovation Centre and OpenAIRE) will provide good practice advice, and Walter Scholger (Zentrum für Informationsmodellierung, Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities, Universität Graz) will speak about the DARIAH ELDAH Consent Form Wizard (CFW).

The webinar will cover best GDPR practices when organizing online events, including registration, post-event evaluation, ensuring participants are informed if events are being recorded, how to make recordings and collaborative documents available taking into account public and private aspects, etc. Plain language templates and checklists of organizing GDPR compliant events will be created in breakout group writing sprints and shared with a wider training community.
