Public librarians who have completed training-of-trainers programmes organized by the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP) and partners in Kenya, Namibia, Uganda and Zambia are invited to attend this informal knowledge sharing event - a ‘T-break’, where T stands for trainers - on the topic, Online learning.

There will be three speakers:

• Qumisha Goss from Peer 2 Peer University (P2PU) will introduce the concept of learning circles and discuss the P2PU experience in facilitating learning circles worldwide. 
• Asia Kamukama of Maendeleo Foundation will speak about a successful mobile digital literacy training programme implemented in Uganda.
• Herman Lutwama, trainer and learning circles coordinator at Kawempe Youth Centre Community Library in Uganda will speak about creating online courses that respond to the needs of local communities.

The aim of the T-breaks is to refresh the trainers’ knowledge, share practical experiences and to build a local and cross-border support network of public library trainers. Since 2017, EIFL has trained 62 public librarians in Kenya, Namibia, Uganda and Zambia to become trainers, and they have cascaded the training to over 650 librarians in their countries.
