Diamond open access refers to academic texts and research published without fees for authors or readers. AJOL is a non-profit platform for quality African-published scholarly journals. EIFL, AJOL and WACREN  (the West and Central African Research and Education Network) are working together on the ‘Collaboration for sustainable open access publishing in Africa’ project with support from Wellcome.
