De Gruyter APCs for open access publishing

OVERVIEW

EIFL has negotiated waived or discounted Article Processing Charges (APCs) for authors from EIFL partner countries when they publish in 363 De Gruyter fully open access, hybrid or Subscribe to Open (S2O) journals.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

The agreement is valid for De Gruyter fully open access, hybrid journals and Subscribe to Open (S2O) journals.  

Below are the agreed terms: 

Waived Article Processing Charges for Subscribe to Open  (S2O) journals
Corresponding authors from all EIFL partner countries can publish in open access at no cost in these journals.

Discounted Article Processing Charges for fully open access, hybrid journals
50% discount for corresponding authors from Congo, Côte d Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan Laos, Lesotho, Myanmar, Nepal, Senegal, Tanzania, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Zambia, Zimbabwe

instructions for authors

Authors will be recognized automatically when they select Open Access during the submission process. Their country and affiliation data are used to identify eligibility for the discount, which is then deducted once they are requested to pay the invoice (after the article has been accepted).

HOW DO I KNOW THE EXACT COST OF THE DISCOUNTED APC?

This list shows the full price of the APC for each title. You will have to reduce the price by 50%, depending on your country eligibility (see above).

HOW CAN I FIND JOURNALS THAT ARE INCLUDED IN THE OFFER?

You can view the title list here and browse it by subject. This title list will be updated annually. The current list was confirmed in January 2025.
